Starting the Process

In determining the proper fitting process several things are considered. If the patient is a new amputee and will be receiving his very first prosthesis, or whether the amputee has been an amputee for a while and is receiving a replacement prosthesis.

We understand the concerns that patients go through during the process of amputation and receiving their first artificial limb. We can help.

No questions that you may have are considered irrelevant. Contact our office for any concerns you may have and to schedule a pre-surgical evaluation. We can arrange for you to meet with a financial counselor to explore your pay-source and we will be happy to set up a free consultation with one of our experienced prosthetists who can alleviate your fears and prepare you for what lies ahead.

Our staff will be available for you as you heal and begin your prosthetic care. We know you will have lots of questions. Answering questions is also one of the things we do, so you shouldn’t be embarrassed to ask your prosthetist about whatever concerns you. Our staff and your prosthetist will spend a considerable amount of time with you during the fitting process and for the rest of your life.
